Hello! My name is Sarah Pederson and I am a professional mural artist serving La Crosse and surrounding communities. I place a high priority on painting what YOU want on the walls of your home or business. My passion is to create realistic, trompe l’oeil (meaning: to fool the eye) artwork, but I can paint in a variety of styles to suit your preferences, as well as your budget. Whether you have a specific idea in mind or need help developing an idea, I will work closely with you throughout the entire process. I want you to be completely in love with your unique, one-of-a-kind artwork.
I have been nominated to be a Director of the Board for IDAL, International Decorative Artisans League! This is a three-year term and only two of the four candidates will be elected. Elections take place between August 29 – Sept. 12th. If you are a member, I would be honored to earn your vote! I will do my best to help you succeed in your business, which in turn will help IDAL succeed! By browsing my website you can learn about my background, or visit my blog to get a hint of my personality. My candidacy statement is also listed on IDAL’s website. Thank you again for your consideration!
My latest mural is a trompe l’oeil badge for Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. It is 3′ in diameter and painted to look like an actual badge with silver and gold. It is located in the new Justice Center in Sparta and you can view it during regular business hours, or during their grand opening near the end of September!
In July I was honored to meet with Heather Armstrong of WXOW News 19 and be featured in her “Everyone Has a Story” Segment. We visited a small sample of my murals in Coon Valley and La Crosse, and my customers took time out of their busy schedules to speak with Heather about their murals. Thank you, Heather, for the wonderful story!
I have had a productive year so far with other local businesses. This year I am the “Official Artist of the La Crosse Loggers” after completing a mural in their new P&P Pro Shop at the Copeland Park and Events Center. I also painted a 9′ tall wine bottle and large glass for DNA Vintners. They make delicious cranberry wines and other amazing flavors! You can purchase their wines at many local grocery stores. Looking for a luxurious claw foot tub? I painted a design from Ann Sacks on a beautiful Kallista tub for Gerhard’s Showroom / First Supply. You can see it on display in their showroom at 106 Cameron Ave. in La Crosse.
